Jan. 22-25th: Camp will run Monday thru Thursday from 2:30-4:30. Camp cost is $50 (cash or check made out to Husky Softball Fans). All camp fess are used to help run the program. Fee also includes a camp t-shirt. *This camp is for high school students only.
Feb. 5th-7th: TRYOUTS!! Tryouts will run Monday thru Wednesday 2:30-4:30. In order to participate in tryouts you must be cleared in Registermyathlete.com with all paperwork uploaded (this paperwork includes a required physical). In Registermyathlete it must state “Ready for Tryouts by Friday February 2nd in order to participate.
Feb. 7th: Teams will be picked (announced) after tryouts on Wednesday 2/7th.
Feb. 8th: Uniform pick up and Media Day! Uniform pick up at 2:15. JV- Team picture and head shots and then practice. Varsity- Team media day from 3-5.
Feb. 9th: Practices begin. Practices will be Monday thru Friday from 2:30-4:30pm unless it is a game day.
Feb. 9th: Parent/Player meeting at 5:30 in the media center.
Feb. 12th: MANDATORY parent meeting held by Horizon Administration and Athletic Director (1 parent from every family is required to attend per admin) Monday February 12th, time and location TBA.
Feb. 12th: Between the Lines Night-Monday 2/12 BTL nite from 5-7pm. Horizon softball players will get 15% off entire store and 10 % off bats. More details for this event will be given in the meeting on February 9th.
Feb. 13th: Yearbook pictures from 2-3 and practice from 3-5. This is a half day so please plan accordingly.
Feb.29th: No Practice because there is no school.
Feb. 15th: Scrimmage- Varsity only- scrimmage at Corona High School at 4pm. Buses will leave Horizon at 2:15.
Feb. 16th: Practice 1-4– this is a half day.
March 11-15th: No Practice- Spring Break- both teams will be off this week.
Softball season may be right around the corner but it is never too early to get your merch so you can show off that Husky Softball Pride. It also makes great Christmas presents! Varsity will compete in 2 tournments:
Sunrise Mountain Tourney 2/23 thru 2/25. We do not yet have our schedule for this tournament so stay tuned and we will pass it along as soon as we get it.
Desert Mtn. /Horizon Tourney 3/16 thru 3/18- this is the Thursday – Saturday at the end of our spring break. Pool Play is already in the schedule in AzPreps.

Tryouts will take place Monday February 6th thru Thursday the 9th from 2:30 to 5. Teams will be announced on Thursday February 9th.

There will be a parent meeting following practice on February 10th at 5:30pm in the Media Center. Please have one parent per player attend the meeting. Information about the season will be discussed and Horizon Softball swag will be available for order and purchase.
Pre Season begins Tuesday October 4th from 2:30-3:30 on the softball field. Please wear athletic gear and tennis shoes. Also, bring plenty of water to drink. Workouts will continue every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon from October 4th through November 17th.
There will be a softball information meeting for players (new and returning) on Tuesday 9/20 at 2:30 in the Softball Clubhouse.
We have moved our fundraising night for Someburros- it is now on April 11th. Please invite all your friends, family, neighbors, etc. to eat there that night and mention Horizon Softball so that we can make it a successful fundraiser. Thank you for your help and support with this!
Remember that BTL night for Horizon softball is Wednesday February 16th 4:30-5:30pm. Stock up on all the gear that you need for the season and get 10% off!
