Tryouts for Horizon: Monday 2/10: 3-5, Tuesday 2/11: 3-5 (1/2 day but still regular time), Wednesday 2/12: 3-5 Teams will be announced, Thursday 2/13: 3-5 Practice.

• Fall Conditioning begins Tuesday October 8th thru Tuesday November 19th.
• Girls wanting to play NEED to be cleared in RMA (Register My Athlete) with complete paperwork and physical by the time camp starts. [Participate in Athletics- Horizon High School Athletics (pvschools.net)]
  • Spring Camp will be Monday 1/27 thru Thursday 1/30 from 2:30pm-4:30 pm. $50 Camp Fee includes camp shirt (cash, check, or Venmo) to be paid the first day of camp.
  • Tryouts will be 2/10-2/12 and you must be cleared through RMA to participate. Monday 2/10 2:30-5:30pm, Tuesday 2/11 (1/2 day of school) 1:30-4:30pm, Wednesday 2/12 2:30-4:30pm and teams will be picked.
  • First day of practice is 2/13 from 2:30-4:30pm
  • Mandatory Parent Meeting Thursday 2/13 at 5:15pm in the Media Center
  • AIA Fee of $200 to be paid once you make a team
  • Friday 2/14 is a half day but there will be practice from 1:30pm-4:30pm.

There will be a short (about 10 minutes) Girls Softball Meeting on Monday September 9th at 2:15 in the clubhouse by the field . Any high school girl planning to try out for the Horizon High School team should attend. You must be in grades 9th through 12th to attend.

February 14- At 2:20pm on 2/14 there will be impact testing in J109.

February 12- There is a mandatory parent meeting put on by the school’s administration at 6:30pm in the auditorium.  At least 1 parent for every athlete must attend.  See you there!

Please see below for important dates and information for the upcoming 2024 Husky Softball Season!

Jan. 22-25th:  Camp will run Monday thru Thursday from 2:30-4:30.  Camp cost is $50 (cash or check made out to Husky Softball Fans).  All camp fess are used to help run the program.  Fee also includes a camp t-shirt.  *This camp is for high school students only. 

Feb. 5th-7th: TRYOUTS!! Tryouts will run Monday  thru Wednesday 2:30-4:30.  In order to participate in tryouts you must be cleared in Registermyathlete.com with all paperwork uploaded (this paperwork includes a required physical).  In Registermyathlete it must state “Ready for Tryouts by Friday February 2nd in order to participate.  

Feb. 7th:  Teams will be picked (announced) after tryouts on Wednesday 2/7th. 

Feb. 8th: Uniform pick up and Media Day! Uniform pick up at 2:15.  JV- Team picture and head shots and then practice.  Varsity- Team media day from 3-5.  

Feb. 9th: Practices begin.  Practices will be Monday thru Friday from 2:30-4:30pm unless it is a game day. 

Feb. 9th:  Parent/Player meeting at 5:30 in the media center. 

Feb. 12th: MANDATORY parent meeting held by Horizon Administration and Athletic Director (1 parent from every family is required to attend per admin) Monday February 12th, time and location TBA.

Feb. 12th: Between the Lines Night-Monday 2/12 BTL nite from 5-7pm.  Horizon softball players will get 15% off entire store and 10 % off bats. More details for this event will be given in the meeting on February 9th.

Feb. 13th: Yearbook pictures from 2-3 and practice from 3-5.  This is a half day so please plan accordingly. 

Feb.29th:  No Practice because there is no school.

Feb. 15th:  Scrimmage- Varsity only- scrimmage at Corona High School at 4pm.  Buses will leave Horizon at 2:15.

Feb. 16th: Practice 1-4– this is a half day. 

March 11-15th:  No Practice- Spring Break- both teams will be off this week. 

Softball season may be right around the corner but it is never too early to get your merch so you can show off that Husky Softball Pride. It also makes great Christmas presents!
