Horizon High T Statman finishes up her 4yr. Husky career making the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Second Team as reported in USA Today High School Sports.

Congratulations to Horizon Husky T Statman who was one of only 10 players to make the ALL-USA 2nd Team.  

T was the only Arizona High School Softball Player to make any of the ALL-USA Teams.

Ten players are on each of the first and second teams with 20 players receiving honorable mention recognition.

The players were chosen based on a combination of individual performance, talent and leading their team to success.

Tamara “T” Statman

School: Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.)
Position: Pitcher/Infielder
Year: Senior
College: Arizona

A dangerous two-way player, Statman became the first player in state history to surpass 1,000 career strikeouts (1,071 total) at 43 feet. She had 279 K’s this year in 200.2 innings.  She went 25-8 with 14 shutouts and hit .509 with 56 hits. In 127 plate appearances, she only struck out once.  Statman also has a 4.0 unweighted GPA and never got less than an A in any high school class.
